FAQs
Do you have an office location?
At this time, we exclusively provide care in the comfort of your home, serving clients from West Palm Beach to Stuart. Our office is virtual only.
What is the age range of patients you will see?
Newborn to age 18
Do you take insurance?
We don’t accept insurance, but we do gladly accept HSA and FSA cards as payment! Just keep in mind that whether your HSA can be used depends on your account and its terms for out-of-network providers. You can also use a credit card or checking account to pay.
Do I still need health insurance if I have a concierge membership?
We recommend that all patients have health insurance to help cover routine preventive vaccines, unexpected events, hospital stays, medications, lab tests, imaging, and visits to a pediatric specialist if needed.
How do I know if the concierge membership is right for me?
We know that committing to a yearly membership is a big decision. To help you get a feel for our services, we offer a special newborn care package for babies up to 60 days old, as well as one-time sick visits at home for non-members. Give us a try and see if we're the right fit for you! If you decide to join our full concierge membership later, we'd be happy to upgrade you!
How do I join the concierge membership?
Reach out to us, and we’ll set up a complimentary virtual Meet & Greet! We can answer all your questions and see if we’re the right fit for you and your family. We’d love to work together to support your little one’s health!
What is the vaccination policy at Curitas?
We totally understand that vaccines can be scary! We’re more than happy to talk through any concerns you have about vaccines and our policy during your complimentary virtual Meet & Greet or any follow-up appointment. We believe that vaccinating against preventable diseases is a key part of high-quality care. We recommend following the childhood immunization schedule set by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). For families with a concierge membership, we do ask that the vaccines required by the Florida Department of Health for school attendance be completed as a minimum requirement.
How do I know if I need a house call?
If you're not sure, we recommend booking a virtual consultation to chat about your child's needs and figure out the best next steps. If a house call is needed, we’ll waive the consultation fee!
Which conditions can you evaluate during an in-house sick visit?
We can help with things like fevers lasting under 5 days, sore throats, colds, asthma, allergies, croup, mouth sores, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, ear pain, red eyes, skin rashes, urinary issues, constipation, nursemaid's elbow, minor skin cuts that can be treated with skin adhesive, and more.
Which conditions require a higher level of care at an urgent care or emergency room?
We can assist with most health concerns, but for more serious issues like a fever lasting over 5 days, fever in a newborn under 60 days, severe asthma, dehydration needing IV fluids, eye injuries, severe headaches, fainting or dizziness, intense stomach pain, trouble urinating, swallowing foreign objects, possible broken bones, complex skin cuts (especially around the lips or for young children who may need sedation), or head injuries with vomiting or loss of consciousness, it's best to seek immediate medical attention at an emergency room.
What if my child needs prescription medication?
If you need a prescription after your visit, we can easily send it electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Some medications might even be available for you to receive right during the visit!
